Perfect wind for flying our beachclean sarong-flags in tiny sun spurts and chilly greys; 22nd Beach Clean, West Coast Scotland, Ardfern, Argyll, April 23 2017.
Our local Beach Clean is organised by the Craignish Primary School Parent Council each year. Our community see it as a way of cherishing our coast, helping our young people understand the impact of marine litter and raising funds for the school. The GRAB Trust have been a great support to us over the years with equipment, advice and funding, thank you!
“It’s funny what you don’t find…” We haven’t had as many big storms this year (so far but we did just have hail???), there wasn’t so much plastic rubbish washed up on our coastline this year and it was mostly small shredded plastic tatters and strings, choking the seaweeds and grasses in land, let alone who in the water.
